RESOLVED that

1.         Application V/2017/0071, Mrs. S. Pollard, siting of two porta cabins to be used for educational purposes, The Gables, Bleak Hill Hall, Beauvale Road, Kirkby in Ashfield.

 

In accordance with the Council’s Policy for dealing with late matters in relation to planning applications (Minute No. D4.17, 1993/94 refers), the Planning Officer proceeded to give a verbal report as to additional comments received in relation to the application as follows:-

 

Councillor Don Davis had given his apologies but wanted the Committee to know that he was in support of the work that the Applicant was doing in his Ward.

 

Councillor Davis commented that he understands that the application is contrary to policy, with the site being within the Green Belt, but feels the application has merit to be considered under special circumstances through the educational work that the applicant provides.

 

Councillor Davis advises that the Applicant has worked hard with officers and he is sure that he will work further with them.

 

It was moved and seconded that temporary conditional consent be granted.

 

2.         Application V/2017/0444, Ashfield District Council, proposed extension of existing cemetery grounds, change of use of land from amenity green space to burial grounds for burial and cremated remains, Jubilee Road, Sutton in Ashfield.

 

In accordance with the Council’s Policy for dealing with late matters in relation to planning applications (Minute No. D4.17, 1993/94 refers), Corporate Planning and Building Control Manager proceeded to give a verbal report as to additional comments received in relation to the application as follows:-

 

An additional consultation response had been received from the Environment Agency.  The Environment Agency in their initial response had requested clarity on the depth of graves to be dug.  It has since been confirmed to them that the proposed depth of graves for each plot will have capacity to be 2 supine (stacked) human graves with a total depth of excavation to base of each grave being 2.01m.

 

In light of this information the Environment Agency have raised no concerns or requested further work to be undertaken at the site.

 

In response to the above the Corporate Planning and Building Control Manager commented that the recommended condition and informative from the Environment Agency would remain unchanged.

 

It was moved and seconded that conditional approval be granted subject to the inclusion of an additional condition as follows:-

 

Condition 13

 

No development shall take place until full details of the decorative fencing and hedgerows, which are to be planted/installed along the site boundaries, have been submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority.

 

Reason: In the interest of visual amenity.

 

3.         Application V2016/0626, McDonalds Restaurants Ltd, demolition of existing building, erection of restaurant with associated drive through, car parking, landscaping and associated works, associated play area, two customer order displays and associated canopies, land adjacent Tesco Filling Station, Ashgate Road, Hucknall.

RESOLVED

that the revised Scheme of Validation is adopted and a two yearly review is carried out to comply with the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) (Amendment) Order 2015.
