We the undersigned petition the council to Myself and my neighbours wish for adequate lighting on the Larwood Park estate which over looks the bridal path.

Since the bridal path has been opened from the end of Webb Ellis Road to the pit tip there has been nothing but trouble caused on the estate - houses being broken in to, lighting in which the builders have put in place has been removed, cars been broken into and damaged, items being taken out of people’s gardens and so on.

Last week was the latest incident. On Vicarage Drive and Adams Park Way there is no lighting whatsoever for the houses which over look the bridal path, the solar lights which were put in originally are no longer there - from cctv being checked it looks as if someone has come from the bridal path pulled the lights out.

On 16th April there was an incident on Vicarage Drive whereby youths from the bridal path came up to two properties on Vicarage Drive. One of the houses a male is stood staring through windows and front door for nearly a minute before coming to the next house and ringing the door bell and banging on the door. Due to their being no lighting it was impossible to see if these individuals had left the estate or whether they were sat on the bridal path.

This incident has been reported to the police (900-16042019)

Once the day starts to become dark, visibility is that poor due to lighting that anyone could be sat watching your house or yourself if you have arrived home from work, the gym, shop etc to which residents will not be aware of. This could result in heartbreak situations and therefore adequate lighting on the bridal path is required as a matter of urgency.

I do have images of how dark the bridal path is.
